Who we are
It all started 22 years ago in a large book and record store on Saint-Catherine Street in Montreal.
We were accompanied by 70s-80s music that resounded in the place.
Suddenly, an Italian song. The idea of a literary-musical café was born there.
Ten years later, from that idea was born Radio Libriamoci Web, the first community web radio dedicated to books, where the voices of Andrea Camilleri, Francesco and Gianrico Carofiglio, Marco Buticchi, Gaetano Savatteri, Dario Fo and many other artists appeared to give prestige to what was a real laboratory, appreciated above all by many Italians abroad and listeners from other countries, interested in our literature and the Italian language.
From that experience, with the same passion and the contribution of great voices of national radio and volunteers, here is Caffé Italia, where, every day,
We tell stories that open horizons .
Current events, customs and society, literature, cinema, music and theatre in the welcoming setting of an Italian Café
